Blastculture is back with two new tracks, keeping his trademark minimal house sound but this time around adding a harder edge and speeding up the tempo. A Blast In The Past combines driving house rhythms with a hard, acidic off-beat bassline, along with hypnotic and slightly robotic vocal effects which drift in and out of the track, adding a slightly eerie vibe. Mary Quant In Grey also features harder house rhythms with plenty of hi-hat sizzle and adds intermittent echoing techno bass stabs. The JMD remix adds tribal percussion and reworks the techno bassline. All three mixes are available to download for re-use in DJ sets, podcasts and mixes under a Creative Commons licence.
