Two new EPs for Netlabel Day

14.07.2016

For Netlabel Day 2016 we are releasing two brand new three track EPs, available to download today. The Shot In The Dark EP features a trilogy of new electro house tunes from Beat Doctor, returning after a five year hiatus. Shot In The Dark leads the EP with a bouncy, uplifting bassline, rippling arpeggios and an echoing vocal snippet. Remote Control System has a similar echoing vocal sample but takes a more minimal approach with a relentless computerized bassline and bleepy sounds. Clockwatchers completes the trilogy with pumping house rhythms and old school rave stabs. For the other EP, Psychadelik Pedestrian follows up his recent LP, Fifteen, with three new tracks in a slightly different style on his Un-unplugged EP. Replacing the chilled vibes of Fifteen with a harder, electronic sound on this EP. Starting with warm yet relaxing pads and piano, Unprovoked Attack launches unexpectedly into heavy trip-hop beats, distorted guitar-esque synths, and floor-shaking bass, while keeping an uplifting melody in traditional Pedestrian style. Drones is a faster, more minimal outing with relentless tribal rhythms driving deep pitchbending sub-bass interspersed with a haunting piano riff. Naked Flames completes the EP with a more melodic, pop-influenced track, again with echoing distorted electric synths and deep, rumbling bass. All tracks on both EPs are available under a Creative Commons licence, free for re-use in your own DJ sets, videos and podcasts.
